Can I clean a self-cleaning over with regular oven cleaner?
The oven is supposed to be self cleaning, but I don’t want to do it that way because I don’t have the manual. It’s an old Kenmore and I don’t know the model number. Can I used Easy-off oven cleaner and do it the old fashioned way?
While you will ruin the finish, it can be cleaned the old fashioned way. But you will never be able to “self clean” properly again. You will ALWAYS have to do it the “old fashioned way” from then on.
